Last of summer

"End of Summer" is an art piece that captures the essence of a brisk autumnal hike near Wisconsin's Horicon Marsh. The resilient summer wildflowers sway in the gusty wind, this coneflower bidding farewell to its petals as autumn approaches. The once lively summer hues transform into rich sepia and rust tones. 

This piece was created on a 4"x 4" aqua board using watercolor and a sanding technique. It is framed in an 6"x 6" black float frame and has been sprayed with an archival fixative, ready to hang.
