Queen Bee

This piece, titled "Reine des Abielles" after a vintage stamp from my grandfather's collection, features a bee sculpted from polymer clay as if it were emerging from the center of the stamp. The larger stamp is drawn in ink and prismacolor pencil and the  actual 19th century legal stamp is collaged. Three images of the stamp appear in this work. It is framed 7.5" x 6.5", and ready to hang in a metal frame with plexi-glass.
