The Collectors

Giverny, France's Monet's garden was a source of creative inspiration, inspiring me to paint vibrant flowers and buzzing bees. Upon closer examination of my photos, I discovered gleaming pollen clinging to their bodies and sunlight bouncing off their wings. This mini-series captures their lively flight as they break free from their cramped surroundings.

I used watercolor and watercolor pencils on 6" x 6" Ambersand Aquaboard, framed in a 8" x 8" black float frame, and sprayed with an archival fixative. Ready to hang.
